1. The software
DOT404 is pre-release software provided for evaluation and personal use. It is offered “as is” without warranty of any kind — including accuracy of AI output, uninterrupted availability of hosted gateways, or fitness for a particular purpose. Draft item: confirm license terms (personal vs. commercial use) with counsel.
2. Accounts
AI, voice and screen features require an account (email, or a Google / Apple sign-in). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Draft item: minimum age and account-termination policy need confirmation.
3. AI output — informational, not advice
DOT404’s answers, transcriptions and on-screen guidance are generated by third-party AI models and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. They are informational only and are not professional advice (legal, medical, financial, safety or otherwise). Verify consequential output independently. Pointing overlays are suggestions — you keep full control of your mouse and keyboard; DOT404 never operates them for you.
4. Acceptable use
Use the app lawfully; do not attempt to extract secrets from the gateway, disrupt the service for others, or use the software to surveil people you do not have the right to observe. Draft item: full acceptable-use and suspension language requires review.
5. Third-party services
Authentication, hosting and AI providers process content as described in the privacy policy (draft). Their terms apply to their services; DOT404 does not control them.
6. Intellectual property & feedback
DOT404, its characters and artwork belong to the project. If you send feedback, we may use it without obligation. Draft item: confirm feedback and licensing language with counsel.
7. Changes
We will update these terms as the product matures and will date them when they become operative. Continued use after an effective date constitutes acceptance. Draft item: notice period and how changes are communicated.
8. Liability
Draft item: liability cap, indemnity and governing-law clauses must be supplied or reviewed by counsel — intentionally not drafted here, because inventing them would be worse than leaving them visible as open items.
